Shimetta™ A NEW semi-moist Japanese-Style Breadcrumb (Panko).

The Shimetta™ product is uniquely different from standard dried Japanese-style crumb. This all-white product has a 22-24% moisture level with large slivery particulates. It provides great visual and textural food coating attributes to a variety of finished products. It can add a delicate and delicious touch to everything from shrimp and seafood, to meat and poultry, to cheese and vegetables.

Because of its high moisture content and no preservative/clean label formula, this crumb must be shipped and stored frozen but, has a shelf life of up to 180 days. After thawing under refrigerated conditions, it becomes a no-stick, free-flowing product.

The Shimetta™ Crumb is exclusively for raw breaded and fryer applications. The more fragile nature of this product compared to traditional dried breadcrumbs also requires specialized breading equipment to prevent the semi-moist crumb from breaking down during processing.
